Riverstage is turning 30 this September 2019 and to celebrate this big milestone, the public will get to see performances from Brisbane’s best and brightest artists.

Brisbane City Council has put together a smashing line-up for Riverstage’s official 30th birthday bash, starting with songs from every decade and genre from Hot Dub Time Machine, the world’s first time travelling DJ.

An electrifying music history lesson awaits the crowds as Hot Dub Time Machine will showcase a special Riverstage Top 30 countdown. DJ Tom Loud will recreate your party days with his “dance through the decades” audiovisual party concept.

Also joining the stage are independent alt-pop group Cub Sport, electro-pop band Confidence Man, indie rock band Last Dinosaurs, metalcore band The Amity Affliction, acoustic artist City and Colour, and songstress Clea.

If you don’t want to miss these performances, mark your calendars on 7 Sept. 2019 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Riverstage’s official 30th birthday bash is part of Brisbane Festival 2019.

Riverstage is an outdoor entertainment venue located within the City Botanic Gardens. This 2-hectare site has a capacity of 9,500 patrons.

It was officially opened on 7 September, 1989 by Lord Mayor Sallyanna Atkinson. Over the last three decades, Riverstage has been the venue of more than 400 performances.

To celebrate its 30th birthday, locals were encouraged to participate in the Audience Memory Box survey, to help decide the top 30 Riverstage gigs in 30 years.

Brisbane residents were asked to name their top 5 gigs that they have seen at the iconic venue and local rockers Powderfinger topped the list with their 2010 Sunsets Farewell Tour.
