Experience different cultures from all over the world at the MOSAIC Festival 2018 at the Roma Street Parklands. Happening on 7 October from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the event is a family-friendly multicultural event that will expose you to the rich experiences from all over the globe.

The MOSAIC Festival is presented by Multicultural Development Australia (MDA). The independent organisation is one of Queensland’s biggest multicultural agencies that work with international students, refugees, migrants, people seeking asylum, and local communities. They are committed to ensuring that new arrivals will have the chance to participate in a multicultural society.
Cultural Entertainment And Activities For The Whole Fam!
This year, be part of the state’s diversity and join in the celebrations. The Dance Stage will feature music and dance performances from all over the world. Groove and listen to ceremonial music. On the other hand, if you want to dive deeper into the cultures, the Cultural Conversations Stage will feature storytelling and solo performances.
The event will be in a festive atmosphere as roving performers entertain everyone whilst there are various activities for the whole family to enjoy!
Feast on a diverse range of food with a good line-up of food and market stalls. You can also watch how they cook national cuisines through the global cuisine demos.
Try your hand at crafting and making something out of nothing! Arts and crafts are available for the whole family to enjoy. How about learning to play the drums? There will be drumming workshops at the event headed by Nicky Bomba of John Butler Trio and Melbourne Ska Orchestra fame.
The world fashion show will showcase beautiful fabrics that you don’t see on a normal basis.
Your kids will be entertained through storytelling, the animal farm, and other kids’ activities at the event.
