The development application was decided in August 2026, with the 2,339sqm site to accommodate a 30-storey tower containing 192 two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as ground-floor retail.
Designed by Plus Studio, the project will occupy a site overlooking the Brisbane River, with connections to the Milton Ferry Terminal, Milton Railway Station and the Bicentennial Bikeway.
A New Riverfront Addition

The tower is designed with a slim, curved form intended to respond to its riverfront setting. At street level, plans include a landscaped public plaza and retail space, with the layout intended to strengthen pedestrian connections around the site.

The development will also include a range of shared resident facilities. The rooftop level will feature a lap pool and plunge pools, alongside a gym, sauna, steam room and wellness facilities. An outdoor residents’ lounge will also provide views towards the river and Brisbane city skyline.
Subtropical landscaping will form part of the project, with Dunn Moran Landscape Architects engaged to design the planting and outdoor spaces.
The approval follows several changes to the development plans for the site. Silverstone acquired the existing four-level office building at 299 Coronation Drive for $13.3 million in 2022. The developer initially considered the property as a long-term investment before lodging plans for a 24-level office tower.
Those plans were later shelved, with Silverstone subsequently turning its attention to residential development.
From Office Plans To Apartments

An earlier apartment scheme was lodged in 2025, with Woods Bagot involved in the design. Silverstone subsequently revised the project and appointed Plus Studio, resulting in the current curved tower design.
The revised design retained 192 apartments while reshaping the tower around its riverfront position and connections to nearby transport.
The development will also include seven levels of car and bicycle parking, comprising three basement levels and four podium levels. The parking arrangement will provide 291 vehicle spaces, including six spaces for people with disability, along with bicycle parking at ground level.

The project will add a new residential building to a section of Coronation Drive that already has access to several forms of public and active transport.
With the development application now approved, the planning stage for the residential project at 299 Coronation Drive has been cleared.
